I’ve been through a lot of the RV manufacturing plants in Indiana, and they always make a point of showing off their “Amish Craftsmen”. No manufacturer is more guilty of this then Newmar, who build among other models, Dutch Star, what you see here. We are in the Mennonite area of Sarasota for lunch at Yoders, an Amish restaraunt. Across the street from the restaraunt is an RV park next to a Mennonite church. Guess which brand of RV you see first? See the “Amish” laundry hanging from the awning? As it turns out, when you look through the park, the Amish people enjoy RV’s not only by Newmar but trailers, 5th wheels and motorhomes built by virtually every RV manufacturer. By the way, while at Yoders, be sure you try the “Shoofly Pie”. It’s delicious!
