This is Sandy. She is currently swirling around, kicking up a storm over Cuba. On the Boston weather forecast this morning they are predicting clear skies and sunshine with highs in the mid 60?s up to and including Saturday but for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday it gets a little more interesting. Come Sunday we have a chance of heavy rain and strong winds becoming severe and damaging with oodles of precipitation as we move into Monday and Tuesday.
Maybe. Or maybe not.
They tell us that come early next week we could be experiencing a hurricane, a tropical storm, a strong Nor-Easter or maybe none of the above depending on which way the storm goes.
We are currently sitting in an RV park a half mile from the ocean at Salisbury Beach, just outside of Boston, but our current plans call for us to move down to Jersey City, New Jersey on Saturday. Jersey City is again, right on the coast.
This is all brand new for this country kid. Instead of watching hurricanes from the safety of thousands of miles I could be smack dab in the middle of one. Or maybe not.
How do we plan to deal with this potentially dangerous situation? Well today, we are off for a tour of Boston which we hope includes a visit to North America’s most famous bar Cheers.
And maybe buy a better raincoat.
