We travel from to Boston on a “well experienced” train arriving at TD Center (yes, TD equals our Canadian bank, Toronto Dominion, and yes I hit the cash machine) where the Boston Bruins and Celtics both play their home games. Spent the day in the downtown Boston area saw some of the sights, including Fenway Gardens (Red Sox).
. Of course we stopped at Cheers for lunch. Just a tad disappointed, contrary to that line in the opening song, it seems no one there knew my name. But the beer was good and suprisingly, so was the food. Pricey, but good; I guess that’s pay back for the many hours we wiled away over the years with all the Cheers gang. Not sure who I really wanted to meet there; Diane would have been nice but Carla would have probably more fun and I’d love to meet Cliff Clavin.
Today we hope to spend some time with the dogs. We have been on the road for more than 2 weeks and have pretty much ignored our babies. We are at the point where Buster talks to us every time we go to leave them.
In that sixteen days we have visited Kitchener, Cornwall and Ottawa in Ontario, Montreal and Quebec City in Quebec, Moncton and Saint John in New Brunswick, Freeport in Maine and now Boston in Massachusestts.
No wonder I’m tired. No wonder Buster’s cranky.
